Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Philippians 4:6
Welcome! Welcome to Math Class! This year you will continue to grow as a mathematician! As we learn new topics, we will also apply the skills to real life! Starting in 5th grade and continuing into 6th, students will learn in small group settings where students will have the opportunity to rotate throughout the room using M.A.T.H! M - meet with the teacher, A - at your seat fluency, T - technology, H - hands-on application or game. 6th graders will learn how to use a calculator to help facilitate their problem-solving with certain problems! Message to Parents!
I am so excited and blessed to be a part of the St. William the Abbot School family! Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child and help them reach their mathematical potential and discover that math is truly everywhere! As we dive into more “Pre-Algebra” topics and focus on procedural fluency where students understand why and how a procedure works for a mathematical problem, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns! I am available through email and through our school messenger app. Weekly newsletters and daily assignments will be posted on Schoology for your reference.
